Mustard Museum Hosts National Mustard Day Celebration Saturday, August 4, 2007 in Mount Horeb, WI

Mount Horeb, WI (PRWEB) July 21, 2007 -- They'll paint the town yellow in Mount Horeb, Wisconsin, as the Mount Horeb Mustard Museum holds its annual National Mustard Day celebration on Saturday, August 4, 2007. The Mustard Museum, home of the world's largest collection of mustards and mustard memorabilia, is again spearheading the campaign to elevate mustard to its rightful place as the King of Condiments. "It'll be our biggest Mustard Day ever," says Barry Levenson, curator and founder of the Mustard Museum. "Main Street, between Second and Grove, will be closed to accommodate this fun family day of mustard revelry." Hours are 10 a.m. 'til 4 p.m., rain or shine.

National Mustard Day kicks off at 10 a.m. when Barry Levenson and the Poupon U Accordion Band lead the crowd in the Poupon U Fight Songs and the polka standard, "Roll Out the Mustard."

Did you know that the Mustard Museum is also the home of America's Mustard College -- Poupon U ? The Mustard Stage will continue hopping all afternoon with two of Madison's favorites -- the award-winning rock band Clear Blue Betty plus the raucous rhythm and blues of The Red Hot Horn Dawgs.

The French's Mustard Mascot and the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile will make their annual appearance, and the Mustard Museum will give away 3,000 Oscar Mayer hot dogs -- free as long as they have mustard on them! Appreciative hot dog eaters are encouraged to donate to Mount Horeb's Troll Skate Park, a planned state-of-the-art skateboard facility for enthusiasts of all ages. Proceeds from our mustard games will also benefit the Troll Skate Park. We'll have all your favorites? Painting with Mustard, Plochman's Spinning Wheel of Mustard Fortune, Mustard Ring Toss, Mustard Bowling and Fishing for Mustard.

Curator Barry Levenson will announce the winner of the $5,000 "Seeds of Passion" Mustard Writing Contest and will introduce the newest game sensation, Mustard Or No Mustard.

Be sure to enter Oscar Mayer's Sing the Jingle, Be a Star contest for a chance to be in their next TV commercial and to win a trip to Los Angeles for the American Idol Finals Show in 2008.

Culver's Frozen Custard will be on hand with another batch of Slimm & Nunne Sweet Hot Mustard Custard, a perennial crowd pleaser. (Slimm & Nunne is the Mustard Museum's own signature line of mustards.)

Providing more entertainment for the mustard throngs will be Madison's mad balloon twister "The Balloonatic", Kids Are People Too!, juggler Andy Martello, local magician Mr. Hocus and lots more.
