Weird Foods Of The World - Chinese
I have eaten some weird and wonderful dishes around the world but some of the more interesting concoctions have been served up to me in China.A particularly interesting delicacy I ate some years ago consisted of Cow's bronchial tubes - the airways between the cow's lungs and windpipe (gruesome!) in a light white wine sauce.

Chinese Yaun: The Powder Keg Currency
China has been and still is the fastest growing economy in the world and it doesn't seem to be stopping any time soon. Quoted from Wikipedia, in 2006, the GDP "$2.68 trillion USD. Its per capita GDP in 2005 was approximately US $1709 (US $7204 with PPP), still low by world standards, but rising rapidly. Thanks to exported goods, it has enjoyed a tremendous growth without pause. To compare the enormity of the trades, it has just surpassed Canada as US?s biggest importer of good. The Evolution Of Chinese Tea
What many of us know about Chinese tea fits in the small teapot served to us at our nearby Chinese restaurant. But, as many of us can surmise, this hardly encapsulates the variety of Chinese tea. In fact, Chinese tea includes a bold and flavorful variety of many different combinations of tea ? the history of which extends to nearly 4,000 years ago.

Chinese Pregnancy Calendar - What Is A Chinese Pregnancy Calendar?
The Chinese pregnancy calendar is an absolute must have for any mother to be. If you don't already know what it is, a Chinese Pregnancy Calendar is a chart that was buried in the tomb of royals around a 700 years ago. Currently on display at the Beijing Institute of Science, it is supposed to tell expectant couples whether or not their child is going to be a boy or a girl. The calendar has two axes: the age of the mother at conception and the month that the baby was conceived. There's no telling exactly how accurate the chart is, but it correctly guessed the sex of both my brother and me when I looked it up.
The Chinese pregnancy calendar hardly seems random when you take a look at it. If the mother was 18 when she conceived the baby, the odds of the child turning out to be a boy are five out of six. On the other hand, if the mother was 21 at the age of conception, the odds of having a boy are only one in twelve. When you take a quick look at the color coded chart, it seems as though when the mother gets older, the chances of having a boy are about as likely as having a girl.
It's all very interesting when you look at the history of the Chinese pregnancy calendar. You have to wonder how many generations of people relied on it when deciding to have a baby. Still, there are a lot of questions that remain in regard to the mysterious entombed document. Was the chart something that was available for the general population, or was it exclusively reserved for the elite class? The world may never know, but now we all have access to it whenever we want.
